A monolithic chair carved from a single trunk of European ash and ebonized to intensify depth and density. A decisive planar cut separates the mass into three articulated volumes, introducing a precise interruption within an otherwise continuous form.

The exposed plane is polished to a dark gloss, establishing a measured contrast between absorption and reflection. The finish clarifies edge, weight, and volume, operating as a structural act rather than ornament.

The work functions as a study in reduction and permanence, where material integrity and proportion determine the object’s presence.
