K2226
K2226 is a sculptural stone table originally commissioned for the Canadian Embassy to Italy in Milan.
The work was first conceived through hand-carved hydrostone elements that were shaped and fractured along their natural fault lines. The current edition is executed in Gascogne limestone, preserving the original structural language while refining the material expression.
Individual fragments are carved, then intentionally broken, allowing the inherent fracture of the stone to determine its final articulation. These elements are reassembled into a structural formation where rupture becomes alignment.
Variation is embedded within the process, allowing each iteration to resolve as a singular composition.
