A monolithic stone block is split along a natural fault line, revealing the internal fracture of the material. The mass is separated but not displaced, preserving the geological continuity of the stone while exposing its inherent rupture.
The fractured elements are bound and held in tension with leather straps, secured by hand-cast silver clasps and buckles. This act of containment stabilizes the break, transforming fracture into structure.
The work operates as a study in tension, restraint, and material integrity, where opposing forces—rupture and binding—define the final form.
