K2501 explores the structural relationship between steel, leather, and bison fur. A continuous pelt extends across the frame, creating tension between the supporting structure and the layered surface of the work.
The bison hide is sourced and prepared by the official furriers to Buckingham Palace, preserving the integrity of the animal from head to tail. Rather than conventional upholstery, the work examines the containment, sequencing, and physical presence of raw materials within a sculptural furniture form.
